Deepor Beel contaminated, says pollution board study
Deepor Beel, the sole Ramsar Site in the state, is contaminated by Boragaon waste, endangering aquatic species. PCBA found elevated BOD levels, abnormal pH, and sewage threat. BOD exceeded standards, posing a serious pollution issue.
