Northeast remains cool as heatwave scorches other states
Even as a heatwave is sweeping central and western India, the northeast region has been witnessing a cool climate — thanks to excess rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya and normal showers over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur in this pre-monsoon season since March.
