Assam clueless about Covid spike in a month
The state health department is clueless about the reasons behind the surge in Covid-19 positive cases in the city in the last one month. The National Health Mission, Assam, had reported zero cases after about 100 tests on June 5. Thirty days later, on Monday, the state logged 161 new Covid cases from over 1,600 tests which accounted for a positivity rate of over 9%. The highest number of cases, 90, was recorded in the city itself.
