Assam: AAP set to contest 60 wards in Guwahati Municipal Corporation election
Speaking to TOI, AAP National Council member and Assam in-charge, Rajesh Sharma, who is closely monitoring the preparations for the urban polls, said the Kejriwal model will work in the Assam capital like the way it did in Punjab. AAP achieved its first breakthrough in the state by winning in two wards in the recently concluded municipal board elections in Lakhimpur and Tinsukia districts even though the BJP swept the polls.
